Movie Synopsis
With the help of Pilaf's gang, the Miphan Empire's Tsuru-sennin investigates the location of the dragonballs. Elsewhere, Goku and Krillin have been training with Kame-sennin for the Miphan Empire's upcoming martial arts tournament. Back in the Miphan Empire, the emperor Chaozu's precious doll, Ran-Ran, has disappeared. To help Chaozu find Ran-Ran, Tsuru-sennin has begun to gather the dragonballs, but really plans to kill Chaozu and take over the country. He will stop at nothing to get them, and even goes so far as to kill Blue to keep his plan a secret. The imperial army even attacks Bulma and the others, who are also searching for the dragonballs.

Meanwhile, the Karin Holy Land is in great unrest, as the imperial army is harassing its people in search of one of the dragonballs. Upa and his father Bora have found the final dragonball, and decide to head to Miphan to find out its secret. The imperial army follows them and attacks them while they're eating in a restaurant. Fortunately, because of his enormous hunger, Goku is also eating in the restaurant and protects the two from the tyrannical imperial army.

Bora decides to enter the tournament, in hopes that if he wins, he can meet the emperor and convince him to stop harassing his people. Goku sees that they have the four-star-ball, and he can't believe they found his grandfather's keepsake. The tournament finally begins, and as the matches heat up, Bulma sneaks into the palace, having had Oolong and Puar transform into Chaozu and Tsuru-sennin, to find the remaining dragonballs.

Back at the tournament, Bora has easily defeated Yamcha, and is about to win the championship when Tao Pai Pai decides to enter in order to stop Bora. It is soon apparent that he is no match for the assassin, and is impaled as Tao Pai Pai throws him from the ring. Goku is enraged and challenges Tao Pai Pai, vowing to revive the fallen hero. Tao Pai Pai just laughs and sends Goku flying off to Karin Tower with a Dodonpa. The four-star-ball hidden in Goku's dougi saved his life and regains his strength after eating a senzu from Karin.

Tao Pai Pai is sent to find Goku, after Tsuru-sennin realizes he has the last dragonball. As the battle begins, the two find themselves in Penguin Village. With some help from Arale, Goku eventually defeats Tao Pai Pai. Meanwhile, back in Miphan, Bulma and others are caught stealing the remaining dragonballs. As they try to escape, they drop the balls into a deep canyon in the bottom of the palace moat. Tsuru-sennin's plans are revealed, and Tsuru-sennin tries to have Tenshinhan kill Chaozu, but Tenshinhan instead turns on his master, killing him with a Kikoho.

Goku arrives just in time to save Upa from Metallic and Tenshinhan returns Ran-Ran to Chaozu. With peace restored to the empire, Goku makes good on his promise and tosses the last dragonball into the palace moat. "Come forth Shenron!" The skies darken and Shenron appears. As the credits roll, Goku's wish is granted and Bora is brought back to life.
