Shueisha Jump Remix

Shueisha Remix is one of many kanzenban-sytle magazines published by Shueisha, the company that originally published DragonBall. The Shueisha Remix magazines are split up into four different lines, one of which is Shueisha Jump Remix (SJR), a line that publishes previous Jump series. Most series published in this magazine have chapters from roughly three of its original tankoubon volumes in every issue. Also, unlike normal manga magazines which have a variety of series published at once, Shueisha Jump Remix typically focus on one series at a time.

Three months after the final DragonBall Kanzenban volumes were released in 2004, Shueisha Jump Remix began re-releasing the DragonBall film animation comics. As done with these types of releases, each comic would contain two films, cutting the original 20 film animation comics down to 10. The Jump Remix re-prints are printed on lower quality paper, similar to that of the tankoubon, allowing them to be sold at a much lower price mark. However, the re-prints omitted almost all of the extra supplemental material available in the originals. Some of the original posters were also re-printed, although simply on one of the pages rather than as a larger fold-out poster.

In late 2009, Shueisha Jump Remix began re-releasing the TV animation comics in a similar kanzenban format. Once again, each volume was comprised of roughly two volumes from the original release, and had a lower price mark. Interestingly, the re-printed TV animation comics are being sold with the tag line, "Read Z and enjoy Kai!" But overall, both releases provide a cheaper alternative to their original printings while maintaining their full-color presentation.

In addition to the releases mentioned above, Toriyama Akira's three Manga Theater one-shot volumes were also released by Shueisha Jump Remix. However, these were closer to actual re-prints of the original releases, with the exception of new cover art and some additional information from Toriyama regarding his work on DragonBall.
