Daizenshuu 2 Contents

Here we will take a detailed look at the contents of Daizenshuu 2, "Story Guide". A large part of this guide is dedicated to simply summarizing the events of each tankoubon volume, from the start of the series to the end. There is also a lot information organized in useful ways, such as providing 'personal histories' that show the various ages, forms, and interaction of characters throughout the course of the series. Included before the table of contents is an introduction message from Akira Toriyama and the guides title page (image from 1993 WJ #33).

Daizenshuu 2 comes with a beautiful foldout poster of the guides respective cover image drawn by Akira Toriyama. On the opposite side of the poster is a character correlation diagram that links all major characters to Son Goku and to each other.

A great way to start the daizenshuu, the entire first chapter of the DragonBall manga was reprinted in full color. This reprinted version is much larger than the original tankoubon release.

A nice section, divided into two parts, it showcases Toriyama's early ideas for DragonBall. It displays most of his original concepts, and ideas such as Dragon Boy, Tonpuu's Big Adventure, and some interesting concept drawings.

旅立ちからさよならまで

A total recap of the entire manga series, it displays one tankoubon volume per page and the chapters that comprise them. Each volume cover is displayed, along with its title, main events, and synopsis.

Another section that has been divided into two parts, it displays all of the beautiful color manga drawn by Akira Toriyama for Weekly Jump. Unfortunately the majority are not shown at full size, and shrunk down to display more per page, but fortunately they can be found in the kanzenban releases.

A chart displaying some of the main characters and how they've grown from throughout the manga. These characters include Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Trunks (Chibi & Mirai), Piccolo, Vegeta, Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Kame-sennin, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Chi Chi, Gyuumao, Mister Satan, and Videl.

As the title states, this is a chronological table of battles that lists battles throughout the DragonBall manga, including who wins, who loses, and whether it's a draw.

This provides us with an indepth look at the big battles of DragonBall. These battles include Piccolo Daimao, Ma Junior, Raditz, Vegeta, Freeza, Cell, and Majin Buu.

A guide to many of the techniques used in the manga, this provides a more indepth look at specific techniques. Though due to this, it leaves out tons of techniques, but fortunately Daizenshuu 7 includes all of them.

This is a list of all 187 battles that take place in the manga. Each battle lists the winner, the tankoubon volume and chapter it can be found in, and a short synopsis of the battle.

A fitting way to end Daizenshuu 2, they have provided an entire reprint of the final chapter of DragonBall. Again, this reprinting is much larger than the original tankoubon release and is in red and gray scale.
